Memoria Nova tells stories of marginalized people, “misfits,” with longing as its central theme, straddling rural life, the racetrack, the outskirts, the industrial park, and the ring road; with the engine always present, the car, and above all, the act of moving.

Influenced by post-punk, the 4AD label, and the coldwave scene, the album traverses different spectra of memory, integrating the collective through recordings lost in the vortex of the internet, personal archives, and returning voices. On stage, Pantis establishes a dynamic connection with the space and the audience through the body, exhalation, and movement. Visceral intensity coexists with intimacy, and the rhythms throb in the chest, somewhere between dancing and a shiver.
