MARTA PÉREZ
Marta Pérez Pereiro is a professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Santiago (USC), where she teaches Audiovisual Communication and Advertising. She received her doctorate in 2007 with a thesis entitled “Humorous Modalities in Galician Television Comedy. Humor and Ideology in the Television Formula of Situation Comedy,” for which she received the extraordinary doctoral award. She is a member of the Audiovisual Studies research group and the Center for Feminist and Gender Studies (CIFEX) at USC. Since 2019, she has served as secretary of the Galician Association of Communication Researchers (AGACOM) and directs the CO(M)GENDER Permanent Seminar on Communication and Gender. Her research interests include contemporary cinema, specifically small cinemas, humor in the media, and gender studies in audiovisual media. She has participated in numerous research projects on these topics and published in scientific journals.

MARÍA RÚA
María was born in Ourense and is 24 years old. Her obsessions and values led her to choose studies related to education, but one day (around 2020) she decided to make videos and now she’s an influencer. Her love for Galicia and social justice are always present in her life, accompanied by humor (what would we do without it, right?). If you see her on the street, say “bye ata o vrau” and you’ll be friends.
ANDREA VILLA
Andrea Villa (Ourense, 1990). Her professional career has spanned culture, festivals, and the internet. She has worked at Carballo Interplay since 2019 and is currently in charge of programming activities and co-directs the event with Sonia Méndez. She has spent much of her professional career working on the communications teams of diverse events and projects, such as the Galician Audiovisual Academy, the Mestre Mateo Awards, the Portocabo production company, the Cans Festival, Novos Cinemas, (S8) Mostra de Cinema Periférico, Curtocircuíto, the Ourense International Film Festival, IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival (Bulgaria), Revenidas, Vive Nigrán, Noites do Porto, Sinsal Museo do Mar, SonRías Baixas, Conecta Fiction, the Pontevedra Children’s and Youth Book Fair, and ICC Week. In addition to participating in the digital strategy of many of the aforementioned events, she has also worked on the online and media presence of audiovisual works such as “Antes de perder”, “Nación”, “Ons”, “Eroski Paraíso”, “Rapa”, “Hierro”, “Cuñados” and “Auga Seca”.

ANDY CHICHESTER
Andy, alias @Chibarinclub on X, has been spreading content in Galician on Instagram, Youtube and GaliX for four years. A lifelong philologist, Andy has a degree in Spanish, studies in French and Italian, and a deep passion for the Galician language. A self-taught neo-speaker since 2019, he is working hard to master Galician thoroughly. This Yankee with a Galician soul considers himself a proud defender and promoter of Galician and Galicia. A teacher for 33 years, he worked for 17 years as a Spanish language teacher, before switching to the specialization of early childhood education. He currently works as a kindergarten teacher at Norwood Norfolk School. Andy resides in Potsdam, NY USA with his wife Bonnie.
