BENJA VILLEGAS

His father, a pastry chef and comic book enthusiast, and his mother, an office worker with mild myopia, decided to name him Benjamin after the Thing from Fantastic Four. He only stopped drawing at fifteen, when he bought a bass guitar. At twenty-two, he began teaching himself about audiovisual production and worked in television. To record his first album, Ensayo Sobre la Generación Perdida (2012), he designed a viral marketing campaign that allowed him to finance the LP. His first book was Huele como a espíritu post adolescente (Bandaaparte Editores, 2013). In 2014, he released his second album, En el vientre, and began the project about ELPASO, a fictional band about which he wrote his first novel, ELPASO. A punk story (Bandaaparte Editores, 2018). He also recorded an album, Rock & Lovets (Navaja Suiza, 2018), and two EPs, Gimme These Songs! (Swiss Knife. 2018) and Spin Off (Swiss Knife. 2022). He regularly works with the comedy duo Pantomima Full and on TV3’s Late Night Col·lapse. Since 2021, he has co-directed and co-presented the podcast Pop y Muerte.

RAQUEL PIÑEIRO

Writer, journalist, editor, and whatever else comes her way. She has written about gastronomy, travel, culture, and society for publications such as Condé Nast Traveler, Elle, El País, El Comidista, Icon, Women Now, Forbes, and Verne. She is the author of the books Things You’ll Never Forget About Your Erasmus with Amaia Arrazola, Survival Guide for Traveling in Spain, A Country on Screen, and several Lonely Planet Activity Books for Traveling Minds. Since 2009, she has worked as a travel guide editor for Lonely Planet. In 2015, she was a reporter for the television version of El Comidista on La Sexta. She wrote the scripts for the podcast about famous women, A Room of One’s Own, for Women Now. In 2023, several of her articles in Vanity Fair about the relationships of famous people, past and present, were adapted into the podcast Iconic Weddings. Since 2022, she has hosted the Sex and the City podcast with Patricia Blanco, a podcast dedicated to analyzing the series through an erratic and passionate conversation.

IRENE PIN

Director and screenwriter. In 2025, she premiered the series LUME, a Galician-Portuguese co-production for HBO Max, RTP, and TVG, which she created and co-wrote. She also wrote and directed the web series ‘Rent-a-pal’ (2024), available on TVG’s digital content platform, which won Best Director at the Carballo Interplay Festival; the documentary ‘Non canto por cantare’ (2025); and the interactive series ‘Amnesia 3.0’ (2020), which won Best Fiction Pilot at the Emerging Spanish Film Festival and Best Series in Original Galician at the Interplay Festival, which also originated from the festival’s production award. She is currently developing her first feature film, ‘Terás que saltar’, with Cósmica Produciones. At the same time, he continues to create fiction content for the internet from the cooperative Aqueladas, with a serialized adaptation of ‘Morgana in Esmelle’ and with the narrative visual novel ‘Antes de maio’, which deals with March 1968 in Compostela.
