History and team

Carballo Interplay was born in 2014 as the first webseries festival in Spain, but little by little it has also grown a pioneering call in Galicia for creation, reflection, knowledge and the development of thought. The activities and panels embody real conversations, and the festival’s offs are worth reflecting on in company.

Nowadays, as many people are considering quitting social networks, we want to claim the internet we like. The internet that contributes to us, that teaches us, that brings us together and makes us want to create something from nothing. The online world was born as a collaborative tool, largely non-profit, built pixel by pixel by people who wanted to talk to other people, learn about their realities, enjoy what they liked and build on that. That is the internet of Carballo Interplay.

We are a meeting point for digital creators, a place to watch the best web series, a place to talk not only about what is happening on the internet, but also in society. A place to host debates about the world we live in and to think about how to build the world we want to live in.

Every year we proudly open up the tentacles of the festival’s parallel lines and activities, relying on the digital to also be able to act as an ‘event around ideas’, wherever they may happen.
